Steve Bitterman is Senior Vice President, Risk Advisory of Treadwell, an insurance provider specializing in the underwriting, risk management and claims handling of private collections of fine art, jewelry, vintage automobiles, wine, memorabilia, couture and a myriad of other classes of valuable objects. In his advisory role, Steve is tasked with completing risk assessments for unique collections and providing insureds with a wide array of value‐added resources. His role also contributes to growth and profitability by serving and expanding the firm’s network of partner agents and brokers throughout the US.
Steve came to Treadwell with 35 years of experience in the ultra‐high net worth personal lines insurance space including senior positions with Chubb, AIG Private Client Group and Vault. He has provided risk management and loss prevention services for some of the most important residential structures and private collections in the world. Steve has vast experience working with major collectors and large family offices to manage complex exposures and deliver a wide array of bespoke services.
Steve attended Dickinson College and the University of York, England, and he has completed the prestigious Winter Institute for the study of American Furniture and Decorative Arts at Winterthur Museum.
