Description
The Insurance Information Institute reported $60 billion in losses from severe convection storms in 2023, up from $31 billion in 2022. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center shows 6,962 reports of hailstorms with one inch or larger hail, up from 5,879 reports in 2022, with a significant increase in reports of very large hailstones two inches or more. This course discusses the changing dynamics of hail claims in the fields of underwriting, field investigation, adjusting and litigation as experienced by a panel of attorneys and forensic engineers.
