Rick Tutwiler is a second-generation public adjuster and the President of Tutwiler & Associates. Throughout his career, Rick has successfully settled thousands of property claims across diverse sectors. His expertise includes complex and large loss commercial and industrial claims, business interruption, condominium associations, hotels and resorts, homeowner associations, and businesses both large and small.
Having witnessed the devastating impact of disasters firsthand, Rick has dedicated his career to advocating for policyholders and guiding them through the complexities of insurance claims. He is also a sought-after appraiser and neutral umpire for disputed claims across the U.S. and Caribbean.
Rick has demonstrated exemplary leadership within the Windstorm Insurance Network (WIND), serving as President since 2019 and as a Board of Directors member since 2012. Recognized for his expertise, Rick has been a regular speaker at WIND's Annual Conferences for the past decade and was honored with the prestigious 7th Annual WIND Presidential Recognition Award. He actively serves on the FAPIA Board, including as Bylaws Committee Chair, and has previously served on the NAPIA and TAPIA Boards. 
Rick's expertise and insights have been featured in prominent media outlets, including the Boston Globe, New York's PIX11 News, WTSP Tampa Bay, the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the Tampa Bay Times, ABC News, and Bay News 9.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rick is an active community member. He mentors veterans transitioning to civilian life through the STAR Network and has been a dedicated Big Brother to his Little Brother, Hyadi, since 2007.
A Tampa native, Rick graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of South Florida with a degree in Business Management. He and his wife, Sonja, reside in Clearwater, Florida.
